Our
Complaints Procedure
AIM
To ensure that
all complaints are dealt with promptly and effectively with
proper feedback and appropriate consequential action.
ACTION
1. The majority
of complaints will always be dealt with through informal
discussion and settled amicably.
2. Complaints
which cannot be settled informally will be dealt with by
the Deputy Heads: Kevin Banfield for matters concerning
the curriculum, individual members of staff and individual
students? Ian Hickey for matters concerning pastoral work
and community issues.
3. If the action
taken by the Deputy Heads does not resolve the matter the
Head becomes involved and makes a final decision.
4. Parents have
the right to take a complaint to the governors if they feel
it has not been satisfactorily resolved by the Head. There
is a new detailed Complaints Policy a copy of which is available
from Head's P.A. The governors have a Complaints Committee
to deal with complaints and appeals.
If you wish to
contact the governors regarding a complaint, please email
lrydon@wsgfl.org.uk
5. Further stages,
to the Education Committee and the Secretary of State, are
available for parents.
